FTX-219 - BOTTOMS UP

Songs Miss Pringle never taught us

Here are the more "earthy" songs for both male and female voices. Frank PURSLOW & John PEARSE - Frank selected the songs, neglected by educationalists, that had been noted by George Gardiner, the Hammond brothers and Cecil Sharp. They come mainly from the Hampshire area. John provided the accompaniment on guitar, lute, banjo & mandolin, and Frank sang and played both recorder & drum. Recorded by Peter Kennedy at Cecil Sharp House, London in 1959.
